Cognitive Hypnotherapy
A modern, evidence-informed approach to lasting change
What is cognitive hypnotherapy?
We all see and experience the world differently. From an early age, our experiences shape the way we think, feel and respond to the world around us. Over time, some of these responses become so familiar that we don't even realise we're repeating them.
Using cognitive hypnotherapy, Suzette's aim is to help clients explore these patterns, including those that operate outside conscious awareness. By understanding where they may have come from, it becomes possible to question the meaning attached to past experiences and whether those interpretations still serve us today.
It's not about changing the past, but about changing our relationship with it, allowing us to move forward with greater understanding and choice.
“The mind is not broken. It is doing exactly what it learned to do. Our work is to teach it something new.”
How it works
Understanding Your World
We begin by exploring your experiences, the way you see the world and the patterns that may be influencing how you think, feel and behave. After all, no two people experience life in quite the same way.
Exploring the Unconscious Mind
Using cognitive hypnotherapy, we explore how past experiences may have shaped your beliefs and responses, often without your conscious awareness. Together, we consider whether these patterns still serve you and how you might begin to respond differently.
Creating Meaningful Change
The real work happens beyond the therapy room. Each session builds on how the work together is influencing everyday life, helping you develop greater awareness, make different choices and create changes that feel meaningful to you.
